Coco convertibles.

Theres a rather smart MK1 Golf Convertible for sale up the road from me and its badged as a Coco Channel.

It's a C-reg but has a clipper body kit. It looks like it has Blue leather seats. The roof looks quite new and is also Blue.
Were these standard on this model? If not what was?

Does the fact that it's a Coco make it anymore valuable?

Just looking for ammo realy for when i get to have a word with the seller so that i have some idea what im talking about and what im looking for.

Thanks.  :)

not a clue about cabriolets, but CC doesn't stand for coco chanel - no idea where this originally came from - see it posted at least once a day!

CC stands for Christmas Cabriolet (guessing this was as they are all white?)

hope that helps :y:

1983 Polo CL - daily

1984 Golf G60 Syncro - sold

1989 Rallye Golf - sold

1992 Corrado G60 - crushed

1989 Polo C - chopped and crushed

1991 309 Style - crushed

I think the cc had a white cloth interior with black bits and a white roof origionally or at least the couple i've seen had these :dontknow:

82 golf cabrio (long term project)
83 golf driver (now a gti)
87 mk1 caddy
2004 landrover defender
2014 landrover defender

Years ago my friend had a cabby that was white with a blue interior (seats, carpets etc) and a blue roof.

Don't know if it was a CC (before I knew about such things!) but I'm pretty sure it was alll standard. Could be wrong though.

If it's a CC then it should not have a "Clipper" body kit on it.

It's white with a black stick on stripe that looks like two 'C's on the rear quarter just behind the fuel cap if that helps.

What year were these CC made and does anyone know the standard spec?

As i said this one has a Clipper kit but is on a C-plate. It's also got some funky shiny  BBs wheels, not your standard mk2 wheels either these look like split rims.

Suppose i should really go and have a word with the bloke selling it!

The CC GTI's were built 1985 (C-Reg) - I nearly bought one about 12/13 years ago…
