Clifford Arrow II Alarm / Immobiliser trouble......Sheffield

Ok, bought a mk1 gti which wont start. It wont even turn over because the previous owner has "taken" out the alarm and/or immobiliser.

Does anybody know anything about these or better still is anybody in sheffield that knows anything about these or wiring in general and willing to come and have a butchers at it?

Im more than happy to have it taken out completey if thats easier?

from previous expeariance with these alarms most of the time the immobilizer connections are made under the steering coloum. all of the immobilizer wires wil be black and ost of the time the origional wires are just cut and the immobilizer joined in so it should be quite easy to remove. I usualy follow the immobilizer wires back to the alarm box and trace all the wires back from that. i would take a look for you but im based in essex.
