Cleaning cabby roof

Hi peep's.
about to wash the motor in a bit is it ok to wash the hood with normal shampoo ie Auto gleam
or do i need to use proper roof cleaner only.

a cleaner, used for cleaning awnings.

head down to your local caravan shop, they will have it
