Clarkson Car Years - FULL VIDEO ON YOUTUBE

For those of you that haven't had a chance to see it, I 'found' the whole programme with lots of Golf Mk1 action (and some ridiculous comment about the 2*5 being better than the Golf) on youtube. I know this should be in the "magazine…etc" part, but I thought it might get more exposure here.

i know its the wrong place to say it, but i love love the lotus sunbeam, think it so  8)

as for the xr3i, well how many of them do you see around still? virtually non existent in my neck of the woods

golf is still king IMO

My mate still has 3 Lotus Sunbeams!!! he races them in historic rally series, one of them met a rather large oak tree last year ops:  its dead of course!!

For looks and as a package the mk1 is head a shoulders above all that frail tin pot toot from vauxhole and fix or repair daily……….

the 205 IS NOT the hot hatch to have..it is merely a copy cat design by the French……the only reason they were slightly faster is coz they are made of paper!!! nowhere near the engineering of the Germans…which is proven today by the amount you see?????? none, all thrashed crashed and rusted away despite being a "younger" car in most cases, it was really in competition with the mk2 golf gti anyway and when the 16v came along it soon faded!!
