Chrome bumpers - on a cabby..
Im thinking of doing it on my new cabby, soon to get. Wanted to do it on my old bronze one, I love small bumper cabbys but chrome ones look great, but the car is black, would it be too much chrome (bling) on a black car when its a great colour as it is? Just trying to visualise it, or what it would even look like on a cabby rather than a tin top and whether it would be too OTT?

only issue with this is you'll have a hole visible on the front wings where the plastic bumper side supports were

The blanks CarnieMk1 mentioned are from the Clipper kitted cabriolets - the Clipper bumper shells don't need the supports like the earlier cars as the bumper is riveted to the Clipper arches giving rigidity.
Here's a pic of an early Mk1 Cabby prototype with chrome bumpers from the Volkswagen Osnabrück car collection:
Looks good!
