Chasis identification help please

As above all, trying to establish the exact model I have. Please can somone steer me in the right direction.
I am not sure what numbers I should be looking at???? Or even where to imput them???
I have tried a couple google sites but nothing works

Tin Top or Cabriolet?

Chasis number should be on the V5.

Its a tin top, and I didnt even think of that lol

Don't think chassis number will inform you that much. 17 for a german tintop, 15 for Cabrio but you should be able to tell that by looking at car  

The old DW/EW debate about a Campaign but other than that think they were sequential numbers as thye passed down the production line. As said log book should tell you what is supposed to be.

What is the dw/ew debate? I am trying to establish if it is a campaign………….
I realise some things can be added aftermarket, but I have twin headlights, campaign fuel filler cap.

Just wanting to establish what is???????????

dw448319 is the magic number.. anything above this is believed to be a campaign..

The chasis number clear up means mine isnt, but the link lists the extras which I aapear to have all of apart from the alloys?

Oh well, nevermind. I still have a fun little red Gti to enjoy  

there is no actual difference between a campaign and another s2 mk1 golf gti with the same optional extras.
