I understand your dilema - both colours suit a Mk1 - but to me however, because I associate lofoten with earlier cars, I realy think it looks just right on chrome small bumper, small rear light - minimalist look models - with a tan interior.
I am not sure how it would suit a series 2 "late model" with larger back lights and larger black bumpers and black GTI striped seats
- however it depends what look you are going to create with your own car.
In original normal series 2 GTI spec - Lhasa is a stunning colour - tricky choice.
