Carbon Wrapping (Full Body)
I am new to the forum, I was wondering if anybody had ever done a full Carbon Body Wrap on a Golf Mk1 Before? Ive been thinking of getting it done. But I thought I would ask on here first to see what peoples views or experiences are, it seem a relatively cheap and effective solution… I wouldn't go over the top, just keep everything standard apart from the wrap..
Here the link: Carbon Skin Car Wrapping | Vehicle Wrapping | Vinyl Wrapping | Full Colour Car Wrap | Fleet Vehicle Wrapping | Van Graphics (They did the Wheeler Dealer Mini I think!)
On a separate issue dose anybody know any good re-trimmers in the North West? I want to get my seats re-trimmed…
Cheers,
Sam

Whilst I wouldn't personally go down the full carbon wrap as I believe it would be out of character, I think it could work, depending on colour.
I was considering it as my friend does vinyl wrapping and suggested it. At first I completely discounted the idea, but the more I think about it the more it appeals and could work with the right colour.
I would still get all the bodywork sorted though, no point having rust sitting underneath the vinyl festering.

Just seen your post.
My company specialise in "Carbon Wrapping" When done properly it looks the dogs wossits!
Just a point to note, it was not carbonskins that wrapped the 50th ani mini, it was my mate James Deakon. He is a freelance wrap pro, and was the guy that took our training course at the Roland Acadamy in Walsall. He trained me and all wraps that we do, James is involved in, he goes all over the world wrapping (not with a beat box!)
Please have a look at our website. We recently wrapped a SWB shogun in Matt Black and some cheeky bits of silver…roof rails, door mirros etc. Will be uploading pics soon. www.avts-ltd.co.uk.
If you have any questions re carbonising or tinting, please drop me a mail. PS…nice club guys, its great to see so many folks appreciate their wheels!! When you've been detailing etc as long as I have you get fed up with the guys only interested in a £15 valet!!!
Laters all….Big Andy

Carbonising is for show cars and appreciative owners who love their cars and want something a bit special, I guess if we were all worried about scratches and stone chips we would never ever take our beuties out on the road.
Having said that, this stuff is pretty tough, and probably a bit more forgiving than paint as it retains a certain flexability when applied.
Your comment is still a very good point to bear in mind though.
Many thanks,
Big Andy
