Carbon fibre and fibreglass panels

Hi all, anybody been looking for carbon fibre or fibreglass panelling for our beloved mk1 golfs?
I'm trying to see how much interest we can get in and how much demand there would be out there because its a reasonably local company to me and they will not start making moulds for anything other than the bonnets until they know its worth it as I believe the effort involved in each panel is pretty intense.

There is LWS design who have a section on clubgti, they make a lot of carbon and fibre glass parts for VWs

Yes I've found them,there stuff looks awesome to. Would love to use all carbon fibre panels they make but money doesn't grow on any of my trees

I am after a fibreglass bonnet in Farbuary/March time. I know of a potential other buyer too.

I think we would get a better price from somebody who already has the moulds to be honest.
LWS do a fibreglass bonnet too. And there is HR engineering….

I did consider making a mount to do outer skins, and adding my own internal reinforcement, but the time involved is massive.

I thought about it aswell but like you said the time involved to make a mould is massive.
They do fibre glass ones already I think for 250 but if a pair of you will want them message them and see if they will do a deal

Yeah, I would like to think we could get a better price for two of three if purchased together.
Do you need one anytime soon?

I was the second person to post. Pay attention at the back.

I sent Andrew at LWS a message enquiring about prices, but I don't want to pester him any further until I have some money in my account.
HR engineering also make a good one….
