Can't believe some people...
However, before I could get in touch with him, someone else did pretending to be me in order to get the roof.
Turns out this guy was actually was quite well off and was only getting the roof for a cabby he had got for free so he could sell it on for more.
I'm a female charlie and this guy claimed to be me in order to get the roof without the seller knowing.
So upset by this…really didn't think there were people like this on here, thought it was more of a community where people would help each other out.
Can't find one for cheaper than £250 which is way over my budget, but the 2 slashes in mine mean people are breaking into it on a weekly basis now, as well as water getting in.
Sorry for the rant but this has really got me down.

sounds a bit off to be fair.
What sort of hood do you want?
You can get a vynil for around £125.00 (exc fitting)
Seen them on E bay for £105.00.
try and see if they are BAS ones are these are really well made and the fit is superb.
What area are you located in?

I'll take either vinyl or mohair, I know the covers aren't too badly priced but not I'm confident cutting the rear window hole to fit though I have swapped roofs myself already after mine have been trashed. And sure fitting by a pro would come to a pretty penny.
My cab is just a banger really (190K on the clock) but I love it all the same I just want it to be safe and dry as people keep going in it to see what they can steal. Obviously I don't leave anything in it though they did try to hotwire it last time with the MFA to an old alarm messing up all the wiring which took a while to fox.
I can pm you the user name of the seller ew but I think the liar just got his number off my wanted ad and then rang him pretending to be me.

So, I can come over and help you out with the fitting.
When did you last replace one as I am thinking in regard to the rear cable being stretched.
I have a brand new in box hood here in black vynil £85.00.What state is the interliner in?
Plus do you have all the stuff you need, glue, rivets with washers etc.
Plus did the headliner get sliced too.
plus what year is yours?

I hope you haven't lost the love for the club and it's members because I'm certain it won't be someone active on here. It really is a good bunch of people generating a good friendly atmosphere (like Chortle offering help). It's the absolute minority who spoil things for us all. Someone's good gesture to you has been tottally crapped on . Does my nut in!!!
Best of luck with the hood and hope you can keep your chin up through this

I had an old clio a while back and stripped it for parts just to try and make some money to buy another car as engine blew up. Then some robbing scumbag stole my alloy wheels and front bumper from my rear garden. I was absolutely gutted as the wheels were the only thing worth any money.
