Cabriolet buying help

Hey guys, I'm looking into buying a MK1 Cabriolet when I get some money from selling my other car.
I was hoping that you lot could give me a hand because I'm new to the non-4x4 car scene (old car is a Land Rover Defender).

First off what engine sizes etc etc idid they put in the cabriolet?

Second of all what should I look for before buying one? (Obviously leaky hoods and things)

And thirdly how much should I be looking at spending for a decent one?
