Cabby rear window glass

Did VW ever make the rear screen for the cabby without the heater strips?? Im planning on tinting out the rear and i dont want the strips showing Or should i just get some re-enforced glass made up??

No, but apparently with a bit of effort you can polish off the heater strips.
Not sure what would be the best way!?

I will probably just get it made up then as i dont want to ruin a good rear screen by faffing about. Someone will probably want it for a few quid.

i beleive the quiff now stocks clear rear screens. although that maybe only for tin tops.

you dont want just toughened glass you want laminated glass.
