Buying spares from Athens.

Post

Hi all. Been surfing eBay as ya do for loads of bits and pieces and have noticed lots of stuff being offered by a company in Athens.

I know we are only talking small sums in general, and not wanting to name them for obvious reasons, I just wanted to know if anyone who knows who I am referring to can recommend them before I part with my 'hard earned'.

Cheers

Hi

Yes I have bought several things from them incl rear badges last year and I got parts last week and more coming this week.

They are quick shippers and the parts are spot on in my opinion.

If you buy through ebay and use the basket, you will only pay delivery once, £4.95, so I buy a few things together at a time

Agree, really fast delivery, and good postal charges.

It's all quality stuff but the guy is just a re-seller of VW Classic parts stuff, cut out the middle man and go straight to VW Classic Parts:

Thanks guys. Obviously the seem a good place to deal with. Probably a bit early for me to go buying decent badges right now. Loads more to do before the trinkets are needed.

Shipping's €30, so that badge will come in at €36 plus another VAT. That's approx €40 = £35. So it's not as favourable for a single item but if your buying quite a few items your saving £!
It's a flat rate charge for the shipping so you could get all your badges/trim in one go and just pay the one €30 charge. I've bought quite a few bits from there now and it's always worked out cheaper than buying from Ebay. You can pay via paypal too. :cool:The guy in greece is paying the shipping for bulk orders to him from VW classic parts and making profit as a reseller. VW Heritage are the equivalent over here.

We need to get some bulk buys running through the club!
