buying another mk1 cabby

my wife got a clipper auto a few weeks back now i have the bug   i have the chance in geting a black gti cabby on a c reg that has had 3 owners and has done 35000 genuine miles  and tones of papper work but before i buy it could yous answer a few questions please
1 its got full black leather interior is this ok for that model?
2 wat would yous think its worth?
3 it has a manual roof is that right?
4 its got a fuel injection engine  is that right to?
sorry about all the questions but i done a search and it dosent seem to add up hope fully im wrong please any help would be great

its realy good for its age just in front of the rear wheel arch drivers side theres a hole that needs welding about the size of a golf ball but thats it the rest is realy good just needs to be clay bard and waxed .it has the original mats aswell. its been well loked after but not driven for 1 year but it runs and drives great

how much do they want for it

he dosent realy no what to ask for it  .i dont want to insult him but at the same time i want to get it for a fair price .its family member i didnt know had it in his garage

:roll: how did you know lol  ops: so if i do get it for a lot less than what i was going to offer   ops:  how much would it beworth with an mot and tax  more than ?500   

If it had an MOT, it would be a lot more.
Just check to see if there is anything obvious it
would fail an MOT on,  big holes in floor, perished
brake pipes, dodgy exhaust, CV boot rubbers, etc..

But for around that money, you can not go wrong really, more
 if the ,milage is correct and can be proved.

Do you know why it was laid up?

As for price after its MOT`d, check out ebay and see
what they are going for is your best bet, but its hard
to say without pictures really.

every thing looks a ok .he just dosent have time to drive it as hee works from home a lot .its got tons of papper work with it to suport the mileage .hes had it for 5 years .i do rember him driving about in it but i thought he had sold it .i was talking to him this morning and  hes looking for about  2k for it   i thought it would be worth that if its got an mot  and the miles its done but im not realy in the no about these cars  ops:
