broke down a mile from home - can anyone help?

Came to the show today and all was good. Saw some nice cars there.

Problem came a mile from my house (travelled 120 miles to the show and 120 miles back less 1   ). My car is modified with a G40 engine. All was fine then put my foot down on the accelerator and nothing and the car came to a stop. It was firing up but the fuel was not kicking in when putting my foot down on the accelerator. This happened in the morning as well.

Checked that the throttle cable was working and that seemed fine so rather perplexed. Thought it could be blokage in fuel or dirty tank?

Any ideas or help would be great.

fuel pump was working ok. Thought it might be a blockage somewhere??
