Brake upgrade?

Hello

Ive had my Golf mk1 citi serviced due to my brakes being slack but he said that there is nothing wrong with the braking system itself. He said it may be worth upgrading my brakes.

Atm I've got the original standard brakes and have BBS RA's 14" alloys.
Can anyone give me any advise on what brakes would be best for my car please

Kind regards

Max

mk1  standard brakes aint good end off, ive just upgraded the servo and master cylinder to mk2 16v ones. ill also be doing as above and going for the vauxhall set up but unless youve got big power the servo n cylinder alone should be good enough.
