Brake linkage kit ???

I was talking to a guy who works on the counter at GFS and he was telling me that he worked on a project to improve the braking of mk1s his team of whoever's worked out that the brake linkages from the pedal where set up for left hand drive they worked out that you could remove and replace some of the parts so that it worked better for right hand drive and it came in kits. anyone any ideas weather this is Bull or true? .
This guy said the braking was improved quite a bit,

Dont ask what your club can do for you, but what can you do for your club?

Probably the Autocavan 'Superbrake' linkage kit he was talking about. GSF bought Autocavan out so maybe he used to work for them ? The kit is basically a beefed-up linkage to replace the standard one.
The kit isn't made any more and difficult to find 2nd hand (I've got one though   ), but bigger servo and calipers will do the job nicely and much less hassle to be honest…………
Cheers,
Mark

I remember them,it was far superior to the vw setup pivoting on 2 large points instead of lots of links

Autocavan was a good place imo, shame it went

It used a torsion tube rather than the tension linkage.
