Borbet A's
Hi all,
Hope your all having a wicked christmas.
Has anybody got a set of Borbet A's on their Mk1, or more specifically cabby? I like the heels, but I am a wee bit unsure as to whether 16" wheels will suite.
Any advice or especially pics will be much appreciated.
Cheers in advance
Chris.

a couple of people have put 16s on a golf before, and i don't think it takes any special kit to get them on.. but in my opinion they look a bit funny
borbet a are a good rim to have in this size, but again, they may look too big for the car, and you have to consider how the rolling radius will be affected, because this could get you pulled over if you're not careful..
basically if you can get 15s of borbet a then i recommend it, but 16s are a tad OTT in my opinion, but thats just me
hope this helps

Thanks X
It seems like you are pretty much on the same wavelength as I am.
I would still appreciate any pics anyone has.

Have a look through the images thread on here or do a search. Like said, some run 16's and some look okay, I wouldn't go bigger than 15s though.

Yeah I know what you mean, I am trying to deside on rims right now and from what I can tell 16's do look to big on the mk1.
I really like the look of ( and price of) the Lenso rims that look like bbs rs's but I read in performance vw that these are looked down on in "the scene" should I be worried about fashion ?
