bonnet

i have a 1977 series 1 golf and its currently in the bodyshop i have spoken to the guy doin it today and hes recommended i replace the bonnet if i want to save on some cost and time to the old one. im wondering if the series 1s are different to the series 2??? if so wots the difference?

early s1 bonnets are swage line free, no lip on leading edge.
very rare now.

and the height adjusters are in a different position :wink:

so shud a 77 golf have an early bonnet wiv adjusters in the different position or just ya normal bonnet??
