personally would never never use a cover for any long period out doors, damp is held in and any wind will rub your paint away. i bought a breathable lined cover a couple of years ago (we do live near the coast so it is windy!) after one winter the cover , having been tied as tight as i could get it had rubbed through all the paint on all the edges of the panels, my advice search out a garage good luck

I use one of these and have no problems with it, they fasten on with clip-in connections and it has never blown off and the paint work looks great.I do make sure that i take it off when the weather permits and always dry it before i put it back on.

It's a car - it's not made of paper and one winter outside won't kill it.

mines is under cover outside unusable due to a broken cv joint and no money to fix it, she's not in the best condition so is beginning to rot in places :"( however, it's tough luck really, come spring all the problems winter causes will be being sorted. you've just got to suck it up really.I spent this weekend cleaning the mould off the seats lol. i've gaffa taped the roof seals (cabby) for extra protection as i've been unable to afford the respray i've not bothered putting the new roof header seal on.
on good days, take the cover off and air her out, get caravan moisture soaker uppers from halfords, take her for a pootle once a week. If you're worried about the cover taking the paint off (not a problem on my car the paints buggered anyway) get some foam a4 sheets from hobbycraft (or similar) and sew it on to the straps where they meet the paint work, or tape them onto the car, should stop the worst of the rub.

pal i feel sorry for your car its xmas tell me what you need to fix it if i have it you can have it if you come collect it
you talkin to me? (doh, been trying to re-word that and failed)
i have the cv joint but can't afford the 150quid labour! plus currently unsure if it is just the cv joint that's gone could be the whole thing, it was shaking so bad it lost a wheel nut! (which is lucky as i couldnt' get any of them out to put the locking wheel nuts in lmao.
I've got most of the parts she needs, its lack of good weather (or a garage) i have the problem with.
I would have been able to afford it in november (inc respray) but my lupo died and needed a new engine! *mutter mutter* currently having teething problems while trying to sell it. i had to buy a furbie vrs as a daily drive, can't get to work with no car so well skint now.
