Back for more...Oh Dear...

Well not the first Mk1 I have ever owned and been on here off an on over the past couple of years…

But I have gone and done it again…Bought another bloody project…I need another project like I need a hole in the head…Currently I have, a Smart Brabus Roadster I am rebuilding, a Mini that I dragged out of someone's garden (actually in quite good nick), a 1967 split screen camper, my project Caddy VR6 as well….SAfe to say I am amassing quite a collection, not to mention both my wife and I's daily driver…

So when I was reading a local VW forum and I seen that one of the guys had acquired a 76/77 Golf and was going to break it, I knew that I could not let this happen to a piece of VW history, not to mention that I am looking to do something special with this one, but maybe in a couple of years once I have cleared my feet and my oldest boy is old enough to start learning the ways of the DUB…

I am no stranger to Mk1's…

My mint low milage Clipper

I tried to save this one but it was too far gone…

Finally, Project Perfection…

That car was on this forum just the other week, with us all shouting DON'T SCRAP IT.

Glad you have saved it, whats your plans?

Ps, nice cabby

Yeah, I got it off Kami on here…

Plans…The plans are changing every five minutes, but the first thing will be to get the shell solid and any remedial work carried out before and modification can take place…

The cabby was sold a wee while back…It was actually too nice to use as a daily driver…

Looks like it'll be needing plenty doing to it, oh well it'll keep you busy in winter.

I have a few things to keep me busy over the winter…

Project Moneypit..

Brabus Resurrection

Before

After (almost done)

I need to get this Mini up and running and up for sale (i think)

And finally, I have a VR engine waiting to go into my caddy van as well…

So as you can see I have my hands full over the winter….

I reckon it might be a couple of years till I get on the Golf, I dont want to start work on it till I can get her totally perfect…

See where your coming from, too many projects at once means less attention paid to all.

Glad to see that the barnfind Golf has found a good home and will be restored…

Good luck - looks like you've got your hands full!
