ARE FESTIVALS/SHOWS GOOD PLACES TO BUY A CUSTON MK1?

WHICH (IF ANY) FESTIVALS SELL CARS? IM AFTER A CUSTOM MK1 GOLF.

Your a bit late in the year for choice, but there should be some for sale at Edition 38, though be wary of paying the dreaded 'scene tax' that tends to rear its head when cars are for sale at shows.

But what he said, TBH if you want a custom car thats fully done, be prepared to pay a LOT of money for it if you look at teh shows.. Scene tax n all

What kind of custom/mods you looking for.

thanx for the reply gammygolf il bear that in mind, figured it wont be cheap but ive beena saving for one, just dont have the time to start a project with working away and family commitments etc, just something that i can drive, look after and have fun with at the wknds when im home.

There will be cars for sale at all festivals, mostly with unofficial "for sale" stickers in the windows though. I know some shows have a "Cars for sale" area and you have to pay (sometimes quite a lot) to put your car into it, so its understandable some people not wanting to pay for this.

When you say custom, what did you have in mind? There's a couple of shows left, personally it depends what your idea of custom is, whether VW Action or Edition 38 would be best to go to, but these are the main 2 shows which are left this year.

Well, ive got 5grand to play with but i hear the stunners are around 8plus grand so il just have get what i can…im after nothing in your face or chavvy, just a nice retro look, black, silver, green , yellow etc with a engine conversion BHP around 200, just something thats already had all the hard work done. keep yer eyes peeled hahah

bens_cab's ummm cab is for sale. It will be at VW Action. You could probably buy it off him for that kind of money after he's thrashed it down the strip a number of times? Its the only car I can think of with around 200bhp which might be for sale.

Ummmmm when I say thrashed, I mean driven very carefully and gracefully, its a well executed engine conversion with no reliability issues at all and everything works well on it.

been to 3 shows and there has been no decent mk1s for sale at any its either on sites like this or flea-bay.
