Yeah I saw this advertised a while back……….surely it wasnt actually sold for £10,000?????Would be interesting if whoever bought it was on here :mrgreen:

If someone did pay that, then their mental, I wouldn't pay that for a 22k tintop.

It could well be worth £10k if it is immaculate.. But then again, I would love to think that.. I think we are in an unusual time for mk1 cabby's.. Having watched the prices for the past 6 years, I think the prices have remained strong for good examples with low mileage, but generally have gone down gradually, with age and condition playing the usual part in depreciation.. As time goes by, fewer and fewer examples like this car exist and we become so used to seeing scabby ones go for around £2k, that we don't know how much a truely top class cabby is worth because it is basically down to if that person who wants it enough, has the cash on the day.. Remember that this is not something that you can just walk into a showroom and buy.. This is a very rare thing indeed.. So once you add the rare as hens teeth tax on it, is £10k really that hard to believe?..

The other consideration is, remember who this car would appeal to.. Someone around 35 - 55 who maybe wants to re live their youth with a toy that takes them back a few years.. Someone who can now probably afford £10k on a toy.. So depending on how long someone had been looking for a car like this, could have even seen them pay more..

I would have loved to see it in the flesh though…
