£11k for a mk1, would anyone buy that?
 I'd build anyone a 1.8/2.0/2.8 turbo with Haldex AND restore the car (provided chassis was good) for that price!

The one that says re-advertised due to massive time waster? This is what the "no rust problems car actually looks like and yes Im the massive time waster lol I also called him b4 i bid and asked if there was any rust he said no hmmmmm looks that way!

Ouch! With every other golf I look at on eBay I seem to be more and more happy to stick with what I have and just get it finished …

Hope the red ones a good un, to be fair can't really go wrong for that money!

never trust a ebay abvert!!!! looked at so many "restored" cars when i was looking for the white one and people are all bloody lying shizbags!!!!

Some people have a strange idea of what the phrase "dry stored" means… Leaving it in a garage for 10 years is not the same thing…

I know mine is a solid shell because it had a full nut and bolt rebuild where the bare shell was sent to the paint shop and shot blasted. I also have a 2 inch thin pile of reciepts totalling just under 10k! I've had a few gremlins where the bbs bodykit was fitted and the water got trapped but other than that it's solid as a rock and there's not a paint bubble in sight. With the bodykit taken off should see me with an awesome base to get it back to where it once was

What gets me is people saying, "it's had a full respray 2 years ago but there are a few bubbles appearing" … If you get it done properly it should never bubble up, not unless they painted over the rust!!

Id say that for £500 though, you have gained more than that in parts!

yeh exactly if its no good Matt will break it and gain the cash back that way, it was too much of a bargain to pass up. Just really looking for something with good bodywork and i hope this is it if not oh well

If not I'll be quite happy to take some bits off you haha!
