Anyone else love this Rabbit?

I love this car I found on German ebay.  Wheels are rubbish though….  Loving the graphic equalizer and the US bumpers and side markers.

Anyone like the US spec Rabbits??

T'was thinking that myself, air-con? washer bottle? Goose egg poacher (using heat fron the engine)?? Went for less than £1,700 not a bad price I'd say  :dontknow:

I no longer have the Mk1!! I now whizz round in a Black 1990 3dr Mk2 GTi 8v but the roof doesn't fold back when the sun shines :o

I like!  8)

I'll have a look in my Bentley Manual tonight and see if I can spot the 'egg poacher', it looks like the pipe runs down and connects to the throttle body/inlet manifold.

I cant belive you guys dont know what that is! It is so obvious aswell! It is a tennis ball washer. Water is fed in through the pipe. The engine warmes the water and it get sloshed about when you go round corners giving the balls a good rinsing. When you arrive at the tennis court people compliment on how lovely your balls are. That is the main reason people buy these cars.

Ah, just realised I may be wrong. If people recall the comments regarding the AGM the potato wagon appeared to run out of baked spuds quickly sooooooooo because the cooking of potatoes under the bonnet is positively encouraged in Germany Bert has built a prototype and shipped it out there for stringent performance testing prior to fitting one to his Citi Bar-B-Q ready for Mk1 OC AGM 2011   He's also considering building another test model for Scotch eggs

Vacuum reservoir.

And no, I don't like the US spec cars.  See them all the time and we all try to make ours look "Euro".

So it's the equivalent of the little green ball under my bonnet? Why is it so large?? Cue American jokes  :dontknow:
