Advice please......
My cabby is going for re-spray in a couple of weeks and I just thought I'd ask for opinions on what to do with it..
1 - De-badge, restore badges or buy new ones?
2 - Same black as on car now or metalic? Wanted pink but strangely hubby won't let me
3 - Colour coded clipper kit, bumpers and mirrors?
4 - Wheels (BBS) Keep silver or have black in middle and silver on rims?
Just need to decide where to have it done now as we've got 2 good quotes, will decide today sometime though
All comments appreciated, so don't be shy

It's a personal decision really but IMHO, I'd paint in non-metallic black and replace with new or well restored badges.
It worries me that some car move too far away from the original spec. I know mine isn't standard but If needs be I could make it stock again in a day.
What you need to do is have a look around at other Mk1s and find one you like the look of, when you find it you'll know which style to go for.

radiacal colour changes and body mods just ruins the whole look of them in my opinion :dontknow:
I like the badges and all that to be present as well as trim, someday if you sell it the next owner wont want YOUR idea of what looks cool!! and even if they do most wont pay top dollar for it, the more standard the car the better the value i say

I think original black with badges would be best, just wanted to know thoughts as some sprayers have said, do this do that……………
Can you get new badges??
What do you think about wheels, I really have no idea, saw some nice ones for sale on here but bit more than I wanted to spend, getting a good price for re-furb of the BBS's.
Anyone got any pics of a car with clipper kit sprayed? Not sure what it would look like.
Sorry for being such a girl, but my first mk1(when I was 18!) was such a beautiful car that doing anything different to it just wasn't an option as it was perfect, shame it was written off with an engine fire in the middle of york ops: ops:
