thanks for the help, i have looked at the guide and its really helpful. my brother got the wrong info. its not had a full repray just a front end due to marks etc. i have seen some pictures of the car and it looks really nice. its up for ?1000 and has just done 105,000. its all standard to.

a couple of questions,

1. how hard is it to fix the rev counter as i doesnt currently work.
2. the mileage counter stopped last week how can i sort this out?

are they hard things to do?

thanks rob

Mileage counter stopped last week….hmmmmm.
Think I used that line when I was in the trade…….
If speedo works, its the mileometer,if speedo no good, its the cable or the plastic thing in the box which I can't remember the name of.Or the diff bearings…………

speedo could just be the worm drive on the end of the cable in the gearbox, its a little red thing that sometimes comes off
It may be a fault with the whole dash pod or burnt tracks on the blue printed circuit or the voltage regulator on it?
at worst its a new pod….not too bad to find, and a speedo cable maybe?
go look at it and have a look, be guided by what you see and how it drives, if it appears a "bitsa" car, ie it looks like its been apart more times than heather mills lips   leave it, theres loads more on offer for around that price
