a little something i have noticed
does it on my mate's '90 mk2 as well
pretty weird, might not do it on all, would imagine so if it does it on a 7 year newer mk2 as well. unless we just have bodged wiring :roll:

…something to do with keeping the windscreen clear and demisted in certain situations (…can't think what for…) without having the ignition circuit switched on and not running the engine….

Try opening your driver's door doing over 40mph with your seatbelt off, shortly before pulling the handbrake up and steering wheel to the left (180 degrees) simultaneously….
same thing happens in every car I've tried it in…
