A few newbie questions....

Hi all…I'm trying to refurbish my Mk.1 GTI's interior, and was wondering about using some Cabriolet parts.
Will the front and rear seats fit into my Mk.1? Will the seats from a Mk.2 Golf fit?
I'm also planning about swapping the complete dash (including cluster) from a Golf Cabriolet (series 1 or 2)…will it be a straight fit or will it be a tricky task????
And finally, will the headlights from a Mk.2 fit into my car???

hi matey i read an article in one of my old mags and it said you can put a mk2 dash in a mk1 and its not too hard will look for article if ya want.

i think the grill is a few cm longer but the lights themselves are exactly the same

I'm finally going to look for a cabby dash in good condition and a new set of Mk2 front lights.
I'm planning to wire the outward lights (bigger ones) as a road/high beam lights, and the inner, smaller ones as fog ones.
Talking about the seats, I've found an almost new set of sport half leather seats from a Mk.2 at a local scrapper. Cheaper to buy them rather than reupholstering my current ones.

los sillones delanteros del mk2 te serviran.. pero muy probablemente.. si es para el gti mk1 q creo haber leido es del 82, tendras que hacer algunas modificaciones porque los del mk2 al igual que los del cabrio karmann llevan el enganche de la corredera al lado contrario q en el mk1 tuyo, por el contrario.. los de atras no t sirven.

Los faros del mk2 dicen q son del mismo diametro q los del 1.. pero.. la base y el anclaje cambian, lo que si.. es que te sirven los del cabrio.

(ultimamente me he hexo las mismas preguntas.. de ahi.. q haya averiguado las respuestas)

Front lights of the mk2 are almost the same but the way to fit them to the car changes.. so doesnt fit, but cabby ones fit perfectly
