A bit of both, the sunroof mechanism has gone, but most of the original structure remains as I've only got a half cage.

Looks good, that's the way I'd probably go if it needed much doing to the roof.

certainly be one way to stop my sunroof leaking lol bit out of my budget right now though  

Fitting was pretty easy really, I just ground back all the rusty bits, flatted the paint on the roof, removed the sunroof mechanism and bonded the new skin on

So you dont remove the original skin?

i think you can only remove if you have a cage to keep the rigidity of the car, could be wrong…
