2 x cabby's in scrappy - Advise please - n e 1 need bits?
I have found 2 x mk 1 cabby's in scrappy and im probably going to go by tomorrow to take a few bits off i want.
If anyone see's anything in the photo's you want let me know and i could get it for you. (as long as im not having it lol)
Both roofs are NO GOOD, although if the price is right i might buy both back windows and frames, as one looks very solid and one o.k
could i have some advice though
arnt these clocks from an early series one golf ? are they worth a few quid? how much?
also is this sterring wheel hard to get hold of or pritty standard ? the black cabby has a brown dash / interior
also i am going to take the rear mudflaps off the black one, they are for a cabby with small bumpers, fairly good conditon, offers on these please
Thanks
Rich

Steering wheel is common as muck.
Brown trim seems to be worth a bit more than black.

Front seat foams will be useful if they're any good but a pig to remove - passenger ones are usually best. I've seen these go for £25. Come to think of it, is the white one a CC (like mine)? If so, rip out the interior - you'll get some cash for that, and I'll have the seat base piece.
Gear knobs if they're the golf ball type? They go for £100, if you believe the latest ebay auctions?! ;-)
Dash trims are useful to have - I paid £15 for one the other week.
Parcel shelves for cabbys are hard to come by. I'll take one if it's blue and not buggered.
One thing I would like is a 2-light, 11 slat grill. If they have one, I'll take it!
The balck capping to the top of the door cards would fetch you good money if it's not cracked.
Hope this helps. What scrappy are they in? PM me if you want a hand ripping bits off.

anyone that has posted up to this thread can they please add a price they are willing to pay for the parts they want , i will try and get to the scrappy this weekend and see if i can do a deal for the bits.
I think its pritty much take it off yourself, and i am by no means a mechanic but will do my best
plus remember i will have to add postage cost on to send all the bits out to ya

I need no2 relay from next to fuse box. Only on injected cars. Worth a quid or 2 if not water damaged. Slim chance there.
Is that scrappy in Bristol?

Spoke to the scrappy today, unfortunately my plan of hopefully going down , taking a few bits off for everyone and then giving them some cash aint gona work lol,
they said they do wana price it by part, and on a week day they can take the stuff off, but on a weekend its DIY.
What i'll do is give them a list of what we all want next week, then roughly guess postage and let you guys know what it will be posted to ya.
I hope im not treding on anyones toes, like Funkstar etc, i would definately advise any one on here to use guys that break cars on the site rather then lining the pocket of a scrappy :-)
just thought for bit people that might be struggling to get bits i could help keep some more mk1s on the road
