Merchandise Manager

Role

Development and sales of Club Merchandise

Reporting Lines

Reporting to the Club Committee

Duties and Responsibilities


1. Gather information for exciting new merchandise ideas to meet Club Members expectations and requirements

2. Find suppliers to produce new and existing merchandise

3. Work with suppliers in the development of merchandise, including approving proofs, samples, etc together with Club Committee

4. Develop annual budget for Committee approval, track costs to ensure they fall within given budget

5. Gather pricing information to ensure competitiveness

6. Develop simple business case for new merchandise for approval together with Committee

7. Work with Website Manager to develop and maintain online ordering via Club internet website

8. Sell, receive orders and distribute merchandise to Club Members

9. Maintain and track stock to meet order requirements ensuring a minimum of low running order lines and good availability of popular order lines

10. Regular checking of Club Forum and email to handle Member queries and follow up

11. Submit expenses with receipts to Club Treasurer or Chairman for payment

12. Attend Club Events and promote sales of merchandise at events and the Club Forum

13. Attend Committee meetings, including the AGM

Experience/Requirements:

1. Previous experience in developing and selling merchandise or similar products preferable
2. Basic knowledge of graphic software and preferably access to a popular application
3. Enthusiastic, motivated person with good communication skills
4. Ideally a Club Member for 6 months

Some of you also know that mrslawsy was nominated for the role, but not yet been taken up by the club as she's my wife, but that link is one of the places that we've already contacted and are awating a sample

my heads been spinning alot lately, trying to get deals sorted for merchandise without spending all the club money on stock.  watch this space alot is about to change all at once.   8)
