I am pretty sure that in the first few mins of the new programme there is a very brief shot of a red Mk1 -possibly with BBS alloys flying down a runway. Only lasts about 2secs, but I can't get my TV to go slow enough to freeze it.  also in opening sequence is interior shot of a MK2, so looks like we are in for a treat in a subsequent programme.?

Damn! Managed to find the shot and freeze it , but it's a five door MK2.  let's hope they include the Mk1 as they Also showed a clip of a 205GTI.

Got to agree with you Andy had one in red cracking car.

Sold my one previous owner gti to buy a red 1.9 205 gti,( over 20 years ago) cracking car but mot,s always an issue with emissions, build quality (what build quality?) and couldn't relax while driving it, worked best when flat out everywhere, Then got another mk1.
