Try classic car insurance companys. I recently bought another, more dog friendly car and swapped the insurance from the cabby to the new one.
I then phoned the insurance company I normally use for a quote on the golf with a new policy (no no claims bonus) and they wanted ?350, which I thought was reasonable.
I then did a search for classic car insurance and was delighted to get a quote from lancaster insurance for ?137.25. They even phoned me the day after to see if they could do it for even less than the online quote.
This includes a guaranteed value of ?1500 for the car and I don't need an alarm or immobiliser fitted for theft, although I am limited to 3000mls a year and it can't be my main mode of transport.

Premium Choice do my 92 clipper, no no claims as its classic insurance (3000 miles per year) agreed value of ?3500, 35 years old ?138.00.

I was pleased with that
