who to go for?

ive just done the money supermarket thing and its come up the chepest quote on there as ?614 with a whoppin excess! i currently am still on my 1.9 205 gti with mods for <500 with bell. moneysupermarket said bell wouldnt support the use of my vehicle, woteva that means!!

any got any good company's to suggest?

you could try HIC or footman James but it depends how old your are dont think footman james will insure you if your under 25 though I could be wrong.  
My golf insurance is with HIC but I got insurance for our camper van and our new passat through a company called perfomance direct there a broker but got me some good deals they also wangled it so I could use my no claims on my hubbys passat which meant he got discount for 4 years rather then 1! which almost halfed the other quotes Id got.
