Think this is dear???

Just had my renewl quote fron Adrian Flux

I have claimed 1.8 gti re-bored to 1.9 alloys, stainless exhaust, slightly bigger brakes.

I have 5 yrs NCB

im 45yrs old

5000 miles limited

agreed value ?2500

premium = ?306 fully comp

and another thing when i ask them they always say "oh yes club discount has bee added" but how do i know it has, as it doesn't say on my paperwork that it has are they just saying it ???

my tip get your quote and if they don't ask you if you are a member tell them once you get the quote they will have to reduce your price then.

Dont ask what your club can do for you, but what can you do for your club?

Does seem dear.  :|  The most I've ever paid is ?210 on a classic policy with 3000 miles fully comp with no NCB. Thats with me based in NI too where we get ripped off for insurance.

Is it your daily car?  My daily is a 3 year old Grand Scenic (yeah someone had to buy one) fully comp with protected NCB, 2 additional drivers and it only costs ?160 a year through Direct Line.

I was given the same info when I asked - "yes, the club discount has already been applied".

Nice one mate.

Andy, might be worth trying Footman for the golf instead, I found them cheaper for that but Flux smashed them on the Alfa.

I did just that today and Footman came in at ?256 with 4500 miles, euro cover legal cover and breakdown cover :D  I have 14 days cooling off with ?15 to pay if I cancel will give the Flux man a chance to beat it as they do say they will beat any quote the only difference here is 500 miles

have to say I was not happy last year when i filled in the paperwork with flux after I had paid I forgot to mention i had a stainless exhaust fitted so me being honest John told them.

they then charged me an extra ?50 on top of my premium bit rich I thought and its put me off them this time..

the Mk1 isn't my daily I have a mk4 GTi for that. the Mk1 lives most of its life locked up in my works was wondering about a mulitcar policy for me and the mrs with her A4 because lets face it I can only drive one car at once  :?

Dont ask what your club can do for you, but what can you do for your club?

Andy, just got mine for ?147 fully comp with Bishop Calway (Gold recovery ?37.50 extra - bought).
That's ?1,500 agreed value!!!  8O
Not garaged but on drive
5k per annum mileage.
Paid ?340 with More Than last year.
Excellent service from BC as well  :D
Hope this helps
Chris

I no longer have the Mk1!! I now whizz round in a Black 1990 3dr Mk2 GTi 8v but the roof doesn't fold back when the sun shines :o
