Smell A Rat??

Hey guys
Im getting my first golf in 2 days,whhhhhoooooooo!
Im been having a look for different insurence quotes and iv found direct line seem to be the cheapest for me, but it appears to be cheaper to get comprehensive rather than 3rd party??
I find this a little odd, am i missing something??
Im 21 the car is a 83, 1.8 GTI, i have 3 points for speeding back in 10/2005 and have had my licence since 04/2005. Also 2 years N/C.
Iv been quoted ?534.45 with ?350 voluntary excess.

Many insurance companies do comp only. GTI insurance quotes vary widely between different insurers. So, what seems to have happened is the broker was able to obtain a wider number of quotes from those offering comp only, and one of these came out the lowest for you.

GTI insurance is considered high risk due to the performance of the car, so factors such as driver risk, play a much more important part than cost of the car. And the largest liability is for injury to others, etc.
