No 'No Claims' ?136.00 Comprehensive

Hi,
New to the Golf Mk1 scene. Am a company car driver (Passat) and as such cant build up any no claims discount. Recently bought a Campaign model in Lhasa green. After a light resto this is to become my weekend toy.Jumped online and did a brief search and had replies coming in from around ?325 up to around ?800. I then stumbled across 'Heritage Insurance' who offered me a classic cover with a limit of 2000 miles. The cars got a fairly decent Cobra alarm & immbiliser and will be kept in the garage. At ?136 i was blown away. The cover also included track day use, windscreen cover, legal protection and agreed valuation of ?1000.00. Whether they are any good when claiming remains to be seen but not planning on claiming!

Give them a try online.

Is there a catch…you're in your 50's at least?    It must be the really limited mileage of 2000 that brings it down so much? And quite a low agreed valuation for a GTI? But for a weekend/show toy like most GTI owners, that's brilliant!  :P

The catch is the limited mileage, once the other things are taken into consideration it has a big effect on the price.

2000 miles is nothing, so it's quite clearly not a daily driver and i'm sure that helps the insurance
