just had a great quote!

ive recently come off a driving ban for being a plonka and i was struggling to get a quote on a car i tried all the low cc cars like fiestas 106 clio etc etc and was getting quotes of £1500 to £2500 8O  so i started to look at older cars and found i could drive a mini 1000cc fully comp on limited mileage for £489, thats with declaring my convictions too which i wouldnt hide as i learnt from my mistakes and wouldnt reccomend hiding anything!! but then i tried a golf cabs 1.6 and got a quote for £670 which id rather pay and drive a golf than a mini,i do love minis but i have an enormous amount of parts for mk1 golfs as i have 2 tin top gtis 8) the company for both quotes was performance direct,so it just goes to show there is light at the end of the tunnel if you keep looking :mrgreen:

Hi mate i got a tidy mk 1 convertable its d reg in white its got pretty much all parts to finish icluding original white gti seats with mint bolsters.
no mot etc needs few things to do i havent the time as im already restoring another one.
£700 ono

Welcome back to driving once more. I had an enforced 12mth break and it's not easy to do. I guess your quotes are for classic insurance then so the one downside is likely to be that you won't amass any NC bonus.
