Insurance :(

Well i passed my test on Thursday, picking my Mk1 up in a week and need insurance, i cant find anywhere cheap?
Quinn dont insure cars older that 1989, and the cheapest ive had so far is £2354.76 from Endsleigh im not a Millionaire how do they expect us to afford this

Its a 1.1 3 door in black, i live in a Good part of Rhyl (Wales) and its parked on a driveway :/ I dont understand it, even if it goes down to like 1500-1700

Try elephant.  Im sure they will give you a good quote. I had been getting quotes of about £1500-£2500 and with them it was £800

have you tried classic insurance company's ? with limited mileage etc.  try. lancaster insurance, footman james, adrian flux . limiting the mileage can help and also if it was garaged at night but not everyone has access to a garage. my insurance has limited mileage but they never asked me for a mileage reading so dont know how they monitor it? maybe they do it through the mot records as they are all on database now, doesnt stop you unplugging the cable if it gets up to the limit though! not that i would recommend this!

There's also that pay as you drive bobbins some do, could be worth looking into. Another who do Classic / Preserved is Bishop Calway that's who I'm with and a cheap policy with agreed value but I'm a tad older than you  :roll:

try co-op on your parents or someone with NCB on as main driver i got one at £1190 fully comp with breakdown cover a day after my test and the golfs a 1.5 so im happy.
also ring them up mate get much cheaper quotes because online they dont go into detail more details you give = more accurate price
