I insure my mk1 G60 with Hearts, £290 fully comp with all mods declared including the 16v head :-) limited to 3000 miles per year though.

The wires cabby is with Footman James, again all mods declared, limited to 5000 miles, about £300 fully comp with 1 years ncb

It is getting very close to completion.
There has been a bit of a delay while RadTec made some custom IC pipes and plumbed in the boost return into the breather circuit. It needed a catch tank as well to stop it chucking its oil out !!

Its first run on the rollers produced 230bhp :-) more to come when it is fully setup.

I think we are about a couple of weeks away ….

Around the £300 mark then, guessing you guys must be a fair bit older than me! Makes my £1200 for a standard  Golf C look a bit excessive! haha

Cheapest i can find this year again on my MK1 with 20VT  conversion is FOOTMAN JAMES [for the 4th year running ] . £240.90 all agreed value £6,000 .

Despite ringing around no other company could match them on price !

Any one else with a modified MK1 get it any cheaper  ?

If the car was 100% standard Sureteam quoted £87.15 !!!! But do not touch modified Golfs

Cheers
