Insurance for 2 cars

I want to be able to keep my mk1 for nice summer days and have another car for the winter rain and salt! My mk1 has 16v conversion ao I need to use my no claims for that! I belive you can only use your no claims on one car! Can I just add another car to my insurance? How do other prople do it? I'm 22 (23 in march) so insurance is not to bad!

Multi car policy. You'd probably need to change to it though, at renewal time.

i had a go at a multi car but it was expensive for me.

i got my normal everyday car on a normal insurance and then got the golf on a limited miles classic save me about ?300 doing it that way.

You are correct mate - you can only use one set of No claims Bonus on one policy. Maybe your Insurer could offer you an introductory discount for having another car with them if they dont offer multicar policies? Or sometimes, Insurance companies let you add on a car temporarily. But best to give them a call though.

Hi.  I've just picked up a Cabriolet as a second car, and Swiftcover allow you to use your NCD on both vehicles.  They don't do a policy for 2 cars however.

Do you find them to be cheaper than the companies covered by your membership, or have you not renewed yet since becoming a member?
