I'm getting silly quotes!! :(

I've gone on autotrader, confused.com and rang adrian flux… I can't get cheaper than 3,600 for a 1.1 tin top with no modifications!?

Is this right or should i be able to get it any cheaper?

If anyone around  17 or 18 has a mk1 i'd be happy to listen to where you go for insurance!

thanks a lot,

Jonny

I assume you dont live in Iraq or some similar place... If not they are rediculous quotes. Try companies which specialise in young drivers, Hyperformance, etc. Look in the forum for that topic. Just to rub it in I pay ?100.00 fully comp for my 83 GTI with agreed valuation of ?3,500.00... Sorry but I had to...

VWs always have high ins grps for what they are. My old 1980 W reg Jetta diesel was same as a Fiesta XR2 and the Polo Diesel I had was grp 6(?) and the Clio that replaced it was Grp 2 or 3 even thought it was 4 times as fast. Bonkers and mainly down to the rip off prices VW charge for parts.

Being 40+ helps, ?300 for both the GTI and Cabrio.
