A very good insurance company.

Just got a quote for my 1.8 8v mk1 1983 Gti and it was ?567.94 for TPF&T ?350 exess and i'm 20 years old with no NCB's and have been driving since October 2004.

Aint bad really to say i get quotes between ?1100-?3500

just got insured from them today, best quote from 8 others. I was with lancaster and doncaster last year. It went up by 20 quid for this year. Not having that so i shopped around. HIC was 40 quid cheaper. Still iam old and 220 quid fully comp. Non GTI version is not too bad i suppose.

how on earth can they give you a price like that when i have 4years driving, 1years no claims and i get quoted ?2487 CRAZY!!!

Mate. I can get insured on an audi TT 225 for less than that. Have a look at HIC

HIC may be ok for some people but www.footmanjames.co.uk were best for me

tried them also not very competative, not sure weather should ahve it on a limited millage or not although it does come down alot, probs best, especially if thinking of selling in the summer

HIC were great for me - until I had to claim… Utter rubbish (this is a family forum after all!) Can't be bothered to go into it but to sum up took nearly a year to get them to offer me any money and then when they did they only offered ?500 (should have had a agreed value of ?2500) and then wanted to put my premium up by ?1000 8O

Needless to say not going with them again…
