I just remembered that the FJ quote was on 1500 miles limited, not 3000, but that is OK as the car has only covered 1800 miles in two years!

FJ are pretty good as they give the chance to get quotes from 2 repair places of your choice, and as long as the quotes are sensible they will most likely approve them. I was a bit stuck as the car was undriveable and no-one is interested in coming out and giving quotes these days  . I also wasn't able to trailer the car to a bodyshop, so in the end had to go with FJ's default repairer (Nationwide). The repair quality was fine, and the work guaranteed for 3 years, but I did have to reject the repair at first as the paint match was poor, and I am a fussy so and so (it was a black car - hard to match). Its also worth confirming with the accident assessor and the repair place EXACTLY what work will be done before they start to make sure they rectify everything.
Without the agreed value policy though I could have been stuffed as the repairs came to about 2 grand and the non agreed trade value of the car wasn't much more than that. Luckily the agreed value was closer to 3.5 grand so there were no probs.
