how modded is yours?
I simply told them the exhaust HAD to be changed cos the car was 25years old and the original was long dead. And the alloys were nothing special. They just wanted to know if there were any major modifications. Didn't question that I told them it was a project and would evolve.
Premium didn't change if I upped the excess to ?250, but went up by almost ?100 if I upped the mileage to 4500p/a. Also no alarm to Thatcham1 made no difference.
HIC and Nortans/Herritage were about ?80 more, Adrian Flux didn't even give me a price - poor girl just said they were loads more. Swinton were over ?1000.

when i went into their office they said if you insure it as ' un - mod ' then later ring them to say " ive spent ?? on a mod " its not a problem ??
No problems with them, except every change they make on the policy means a ?15 admin charge. So may as well declare it all now?

Told Footman James about all my mods on phone etc
filled in paper work but forgot to add the stainless exhaust they added a further ?50 to premium which i thought was a little rich. Going to shop around next time made the mistake of mentioning the club discount before they gave me the quote in stead of afterwards.
