Grow old, and it will get lower. Failing that, keep looking, do a search on here for specialists who cater for young people etc. Maybe one of the club advertised ones can help out? Do they do the discount, if so it would be worth joining for that, if you're looking at a £1900 or so figure.

you got 11 points or something and just finshed a ban 2 years or something, as £1900 sounds nuts

How old are you, no claims bonus ect.
If your young then insurance is going to be high.
Best thing to do is keep phoning different places.
Im sure you will get it cheaper.

Well to be fair your still classed as a young inexperianced driver.
You should be able to get it down a bit tho.
How about going on a limited miles policy.

to be honest some off us wonder why so many people are driving around un insured this is a prime example to why people dont bother with insurance,
being young m8 is the biggest reason to why ur getting ripped off adrain flux used to be quite good for nippers,
guessing u done all the obvious things like go compared
confused
auto trader
tesco
car insurance search engines if not why not,
also found tescos normal insurane to be quite good,
again cis are good
i can run threw a number off decent companys, personaly thou have a word with m8's see who they use, becuase i'm guessing the area you live in must have a higher insurnace bonds to start with, although at times it may seem its just u getting ripped off, also another good way to get insurance down is to lie about your job, and dont say anything about company cars etc
my insurance company have down on record that i'm a shielf stacker for tesco, and that i have no surplyed work viechle cough cough bullshit lol
i save over £240 compared to when i'm honest about what i do for work, i'm never gonna have a insurance premium that they will not pay out on becuase i'm never gonna turn round and say if i am in a fender bender o by the way i dont actualy work for tescos if u get my drift

perhaps not but why should i pay extra becuase i drive another veichle thats already got a paid insurance policy, and why should they up my premuim becuase my job is one they doont like, i've never had a crash in ten years so clearly for me i'm as low risk as a shelf stacker, perhaps dont make it right but same time why should i pay over the odds for being a safe driver

Lieing to get cheaper insurance is one of the reasons why premiums are going up.

I completly agree that it shouldnt matter what job someone has. It shouldnt affect the premium but it does.
And unfortunatly if you were in a crash which is your fault and you got found out then your insurance company are going to tell the other party where to go which in turn will leave an innocent member of the public out of pocket.
Imagine if it happend to you.

Everyone else has to be honest with their occupation when they take out car insurance, or they'll possibly risk "obtaining insurance by deception" and not getting any pay out at all, while saving a couple of quid. Why is it okay for just you to not be, when honest folk are paying over the odds for it?

The other thing is, you're as good as uninsured. But you're still paying the (slightly reduced) premium anyway….just to avoid the "computer says no" scenario with the police ANPR cameras.
