1 day insurance for modded golf - from where?

I reeeeeeeaaaalllllyyyyyyy want to take Borris to the Spring GTi show at the weekend as im on a club stand, and I havent driven him now for 2 months!  :cry: He's all ready to go there abouts (just needs a battery and a wash and the duck bill putting back on) and his tax runs out at the end of the month, but I cant justyfy re-insuring him yet as I cant afford really to do both cars and I need the mk4 on the road more…

so my great idea was 1 day insurance, but can you get it for modded cars? and if so anyone done it? how much am i roughly looking at being robed for the pleasure?
