?86.10 fully comp! Is this the cheapest insuarnce company?

Okay so I've got a policy limited to 3000 miles a year as my cabrio is my third car. Fully comp with no no claims discount (as thats used on main car), and only ?100 excess, garaged 1.5 GL cabrio 1982 for ?86.10 a year. They also offer eurpoean breakdown cover for and extra ?25 and uniunsured loss cover for an extra ?15!
Who are they? Norton insurance at www.norton-ib.co.uk

Is that agreed value? If you have a bump they'll offer you 100 quid 25 year old banger value for your pride and joy.

Still sounds very cheap, are you a 50 year old vicar :dontknow:

Shame the free rolling 25 year tax stopped you'd be running it for practically nothing….

1987 Alpine White 1.8 Clipper Cabriolet

The trouble with doing nothing is that you never know when you are finished.

Oi…some of us are over fifty and still drive MK1 GTi's!!!
My premium is about ?220 for fully comp daily driver…could squeeze it down a bit from that by increasing excesses etc and storing it in a bomb-proof bunker I think…

Congratulations!

- sounds like pretty good insurance quote to me! BTW, what's to stop you agreeing 3000 miles per year and then disconnecting your mileometer…seems unliklely they would find out, and you get your insurance for cheep…might be a problem with no speedo though..
…Spare set of clocks to put in at MOT time?

I'd never do that! ;-) Nothing to stop you and its a five minute job, but my cabrio has only done 50 miles since April this as the weather has been so *CENSORED!*

Gosh no! wasn't suggesting anyone should…honest!
My tintop stays out in the rain all the time, so it's a good job I fixed all the leaks….I think ( he says, obsessively checking under carpets every time he gets in the car!)

That is very cheap - I just did mine and it came back with ?109. I'm with Adrian Flux at the moment and I though they were cheap at ?200+.

The limited mileage thing is weird though. Last year when I did the quote online I did it with 3000 miles (this is with Adrian Flux by the way). After getting the quote I called them and was about to pay when I asked them to run the quote with 5000 miles - it dropped the quote!!!! I made a comment to the rep on the phone and she said that often happens - so pays to call and get them to run it through with different mileage - it dropped by ?80  8O
