using 2 pieces of steel of the same length as the whole scraper length inside and out you have to pad the steel from the paint on the outside and vinyl on the inside used "C" clamps to squeeze them together If the inside is correct, then you want "C" clamps that are long enough to clean the inner scraper and you will be using it on the Vinyl cap area then about 4 clamps are needed.
Place the padded steel on the outside scraper lip and at the 90 degree fold up. Gently screw the clamps as it is thin steel and doesn't take much force to get it to bend so easy does it. I have also used the pound method with is similar but I used a rubber mallet to smack the steel bar…
Or you can take it to a body shop and they can do it with out damage as well. you just have to take precautions to pad the paint and use ease when moving it in. I also take Calipers and verify where it is prior and post. If you have the other side that is fine then you can measure that one and know how much you have to move to get the proper gap.
With that amount of gap I would also take out the door cards and clean the drain puckers and bottom of the inner door as there is probably debris that will allow water to pool and rust your doors out from the insides.
The yellow square is one of the door skin drains, the other is at the inside of the bottom of the door and is a Rubber plug, that if missing allows water to enter your cabin.
